07.23.23 Anime on VHS


So I bought 15 randomly selected brand new sealed anime VHS tapes from a seller on eBay. The price per tape was under $3 so it seemed like a good deal. And it was! I got a wide variety of titles, some favorites, some I've never heard of but seem interesting, and some I don't care for. But all in all I'd say it was very much worth it.

Anyway here's what I got:





Martian Successor Nadesico volume 11 (dubbed)

A personal favorite of mine. And it's the English dub too! Which is the version I watched originally and prefer even today.



Magic User's Club 3 (dubbed)

I hadn't heard of this one until very recently. It looks cute but unfortunately I found it mediocre at best.



Star Demon Part 2 (dubbed)

Again I've never heard of it. But it is a Go Nagai adaptation sooooooooo,,,



Legend of Crystania (subbed and dubbed)

I've at least heard of this one, though I haven't seen it. At least I have both sub and dub versions as options for whenever I get around to watching.



Sailor Moon (dubbed)

It's Sailor Moon!!!!!!!1!!! :D I really love this show. I would've preferred if it were a tape from one of the later seasons like S but I won't complain :)



Sonic X (dubbed)

Yeah I don't actually know much at all about Sonic tbh. Never really interested me.



Sorcerer Hunters (dubbed)

This one has been on my watchlist for a while now. It’s the English dub tho,,, so no Megumi Hayashibara :(



Orphen (dubbed)

Never seen it but it looks like a cool 90s fantasy adventure anime.



Dark Warrior Part 2: Jihad (subbed)

Aaaand here is the inevitable violence and gore filled OVA. Never seen it but I can tell lol.



Spell Wars: Sorcerer Hunters Revenge (subbed)

More Sorcerer Hunters! This time in Japanese so that’s a yes on Megumi Hayashibara. ALSO A LIMITED EDITION COLLECTORS CARD INSIDE YOOOOOO. Also it's very interesting to me that the last few episodes of Sorcerer Hunters were sold in the US back in the day under this name. I had no idea and honestly it's pretty wacky.



Slayers Dragon Slave (subbed)

SPEAKING OF MEGUMI HAYASHIBARA IT’S SLAYERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I really enjoy Slayers, especially the stuff with Naga, so this is definitely a gem. My favorite tape from the box for sure :)



Galaxy Fraulein Yuna 2 (subbed)

Yoooooo it's Galaxy Fraulein Yuna, a series of games I've been interested in for quite some time. And here's the OVA! It's pretty fun and to my surprise, very gay! Though I probably would've enjoyed it more if I were more familiar with the games.



SOL BIANCA (dubbed)

Never heard of it. But it does look like a really cool sci-fi adventure. My head hurts after trying to decipher the rather confusing title.



Power Rangers in 3D

This uhhhhh isn't an anime but it came in the box so here it is! It's Power Rangers and Power Rangers is cool so I'm not too upset.
